The purpose of the risk management training course (formerly known as the ‘G3’ Course) is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and ability to establish and maintain risk management systems in the resources and infrastructure industry.
The course is applicable to both surface and underground coal mining operations and is not limited only to persons wishing to become Site Senior Executives (SSE’s). It is also suited to other professionals already working within the resources industry who wish to further their knowledge of, and who would benefit from a solid understanding of Risk Management Systems in their current roles, for example: department managers, superintendents, engineers, geologists, and health & safety professionals. Queensland coal mining legislation mandates that anyone wishing to sit the Mines Inspectorate’s SSE Legislation exam must have first completed this competency.
3 days face to face training or a self-paced flexible delivery option is also available.
This program covers the skills and knowledge required to design and establish a framework of risk management processes that meets legislative standards and is consistent with your organisations policy objectives. The completed framework will contain various risk assessment tools relevant to the risk management practices required for your business. Consideration of and the opportunity to develop a variety of tools will be undertaken as part of the design process.
